The demands and expectations of Hong Kong’s affluent set are constantly increasing in Thailand and investors looking for luxury holiday homes now require sophisticated products.
Non-stop flights from Hong Kong to Koh Samui have given developers on Thailand’s popular tourist island an edge, and this has attracted larger brands.
One name looking to address the new demand is Hillcrest Residences (Samui) Company Ltd., which recently launched the Conrad Residences on Samui in conjunction with the Hilton Hotels Corporation. “The Hong Kong property purchase boom has been sustained despite recent uncertainties in the US stock markets and demand for high-end luxury residences is still on the rise,” said Robert Collins, managing director of Savills Thailand, the sole agent for the project. “Buyers are still eager to acquire holiday homes in premiere tropical destinations across the Asia Pacific region, with Thailand leading the pack as an ideal location and particular focus on Koh Samui and Phuket.”
Conrad Hotels & Resorts is a well-known contemporary luxury brand within the Hilton group. It’s stated aim is “to combine a proud and prestigious heritage with an atmosphere of genuine warmth”. At its core, Conrad is all about offering unique experiences for discerning travellers and the company prides itself on the individuality of the resort developments.
On Samui, the 2 and 3 bedroom Conrad pool villas will offer 320 square meters of luxury living set amid coconut groves with panoramic views. The 32 luxury properties will be built overlooking the southwestern side of the island and the project will also feature meeting and business centre facilities, offering clients a range of first class services and amenities. “This new development introduces the notion of a branded residence to Koh Samui,” said Lyon Lau, Managing Director of Hillcrest Residences Company Limited. “ It will offer truly luxurious and memorable getaways for today’s discerning and market savvy home-buyers.” |
