Like many other foreigners who now do business on Koh Samui, UK-born Suzy Nina fell in love with the island at first sight while on a holiday and ydecided to stay.
Eighteen years ago, Ms. Nina came to Koh Samui and stayed for three months, liking the island and the people. At the time, she was a budding interior decorator. Eleven years later, while vacationing on Samui, she was contracted by a private Koh Samui villa owner who needed a design professional to work on the first phase of the project’s construction. Thus did she begin a successful and quality-driven design business on the island.
Now one of Koh Samui’s top interior designers offers her services in construction detailing, renovating of period properties, soft-furnishing manufacturing, textile and color consulting, floor planning and lifestyling. She also specializes in bathroom and kitchen design, which is her passion. “I really enjoy creating these spaces,” she says. “They should reflect the personality of the owners and create an atmosphere that makes a house a home.” |
