Villa Details

The Calvie is a modern and sophisticated 4 bedroom villa with infinity pool in Koh Samui, Thailand. The villa is situated in the hills above the beautiful beaches of Chaweng Noi with panoramic sea views of the east coast of Koh Samui and just 10 minutes outside of Chaweng. This new villa built in contemprary style offers a private, relaxing and stylish setting to enjoy the tropical island and the incredible views of the Gulf of Thailand. The layout of this villa has been carefully considered to provide stunning views while bringing outdoor and indoor living seamlessly together across 346 m² of indoor-outdoor living space.

The villa has an open plan living area with comfortable sofas in the lounge area and boasts indoor dining with uninterrupted sea views  provided by the large floor-to-ceiling Sunflex glass doors that allow the stunning vistas to permeate the villa. The open plan kitchen is fully fitted with all necessities and has a breakfast bar.

The outdoor living areas provide the perfect opportunity for the ultimate relaxation -  kick off your sandals and enjoy the large deck surrounding the infinity pool, complete with sun loungers, BBQ and the bespoke outdoor bar with seating for casual alfresco dining at the poolside. Also on the pool deck and overlooking the sea is an outdoor shower - a great place to refresh after a day exploring the island.

The central feature of the villa has to be the 35m² private infinity pool with green Sukabumi Balinese tiles overlooking the tropical hills of Koh Samui and the Gulf of Thailand. 

The villa contains 4 spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms each with stunning vistas visible through floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto the pool area or have a private balcony so everyone can wake up and see the crystal blue water and have some individual downtime.The villa is ideal for families with 3 bedrooms on one floor and a stair gate available if required. The owners have also made available a pool fence that can be installed on request.

The Calvie is nestled in the stunning hills of Chaweng Noi, which has become known as the Beverly Hills of Koh Samui. The villa provides maximum privacy, relaxation and tropical comfort yet it is just a few minutes' drive down to beautiful Chaweng Noi beach, which is one of the island's most beautiful bays and is lined with luxury hotels and a beach club.

The hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants of either Chaweng or Lamai are only 10-15 minutes' drive away. The hills adjacent to the villa feature the famous Jungle Club and its highly rated restaurant only 5 minutes away.

For golfers, Royal Samui Golf & Country Club is nearby and the spectacular Santiburi Golf Club is also easily accessible. We have already done the research and will provide you with a helpful guide to our favourite places in the area.

The Place to be In Koh Samui

We have just spent the most amazing week in this villa! We picked it from the online photos and were not disappointed for a minute.

Sitting in the infinity pool looking out to the beautiful green Thai hills and then the sea beyond, with a cocktail in hand is one of our fondest holiday memories ever.

The Calvie is so well set up.... We were 2 couples, plenty of privacy with each bedroom having the fabulous view and luxurious en suites. The fittings and finishing touches are beautiful and better than most 5 star hotels.

5-10 minutes drive from the more predictable Thai experience of beaches and excellent restaurants and shopping in nearby Chaweng.

We have been to Thailand many times and this is definitely the best place we have ever stayed.

We don’t usually stay in villas, we usually choose to stay in hotels, but as this was our second trip to Koh Samui we decided to try something different. The Calvie had been recommended by friends who had been there with younger children so we thought we would see what they were raving about.

We were thrilled with The Calvie. The villa was the perfect size for our family – 2 adults and 2 children – as it meant the boys could each have their own room which is a luxury we never have when we stay in hotels. It also had great common space that we could relax in as a family, but was also big enough to allow us some time to ourselves away from the kids!

The infinity pool was amazing – the boys lived in it. We found ourselves living outside in the big outdoor space around the pool as we could eat out there, have a bbq and it was also the perfect place to take in the amazing views with a cocktail in the evening. Having said this, we did spend a lot of time sampling the local cuisine (it is only a 5 minute drive down to the beach and another 5 minutes to the shops and restaurants of Chaweng) and we can’t thank the owners enough for the recommendations they gave us. I think it helped us avoid the more touristy – and expensive – restaurants.

The owners had obviously put a lot of thought into making sure we had the perfect relaxing stay, even down to giving us the option of whether or not we wanted the removable pool fence installed during our stay. The booking process was efficient, well organised and painless. All in all, the villa was perfect for us and the modern furnishings made it feel like we were staying somewhere a lot more expensive.

We are already looking at dates for next year as we are definitely be coming back again!

Chaweng is a picturesque tourist oasis nestled in a bay on the east coast, flanked by hillside and it's Ko Samui's busiest hub. Most famous for it's beautiful 7km beach and it's vibrant nightlife. With the abundance of dining options and nearby amenities, Chaweng is considered the most popular amongst other coastal locations.
