Krabi is deservedly growing in popularity, but still relatively undeveloped in comparison to Phuket and Samui. Krabi is the perfect base from which to start an island-hopping adventure. The Amatapura Beach Villas are situated on a private gated development, on a peaceful beach located less than 10 minutes drive from the centre of Ao Nang. This is a very stylish stand alone house set in lawn gardens directly on the beach. It’s hard to see how this delightful villa could be any more perfect. It has a contemporary and minimalist interior, is directly on a secluded beach, it has a gorgeous infinity pool and a wonderful open plan living and dining area. The villa has it’s own kayaks and you can go exploring directly from the beach. There are boat tours to the offshore islands and Railey Beach that can be taken from Ao Nam Mao pier a few minutes away Staff at the villa are willing to organize anything you need. Paradise found.
Saifon Villas is a pair of Thai style pavilion villas set side by side around a private lake, with two limestone mountains rising behind them. Between them they have eight bedrooms and two 19 metre pools, sleeping 16 guests, or 20 with the extra beds. It is the largest single booking we have in Krabi, and that is the point of it: everyone in one place, on one contract, with eight bedrooms to spread out into rather than a party split across two addresses. There is a children’s pool area, 24 hour security and daily maid service. Ao Nang is a short drive away for the restaurants, the shops and the boat trips out to Phang Na Bay, and organised kayaking tours through the mangroves and sea caves are one of the best days out in Krabi.
Baan Phukhao is a light and airy three bedroom villa in the upmarket Klong Muang Beach area, along the coast from Ao Nang. All three bedrooms are en suite, the living space is modern and open plan, and there are sea views from the private pool and sun terrace. Klong Muang has one of the best beaches in Krabi and makes a calmer, more family friendly base than the town itself. The villa sleeps six, so it suits a family or two couples, and Ao Nang is still a short drive away whenever you want the restaurants, the pier and the island day trips.
