If you are reading this, you must have already browsed the pictures of The View wondering whether or not this is the place for you. Having stayed here for a glorious week with two families, I can safely guarantee you that it is.

However, pictures alone (enticing as they are), could never do full justice to the experience of actually being at The View. They won’t tell you about eternally kind and patient hostess Opal and her delightful staff who stop at nothing to deliver on each and every request made of them. No end of sunset pictures can fully describe the experience of taking in cocktails as the sun cools itself beyond the horizon, silhouetting the famous five islands. Photos won’t tell you about the house-wide audio and video system or the impressive music and movie collection to suit every taste, mood or occasion. They can’t tell you quite how comfortable the beds are, or about the waterfall running down the rock face into which the house is built, or about how much time it is possible to lounge in and around the pool area. And they certainly won’t tell you quite how delicious the food will be. Or indeed how much of it you will eat…

If detail is the difference between great and extraordinary, then The View is all about detail. The owners of this magnificent, modern and extremely comfortable holiday home have spared no expense in catering to their guests whims and wishes. Let there be no mistake - this is high-end holidaying, but The View delivers time and again on its one simple promise - to ensure their guests spend their precious days indulging in nothing but maximum fun, the finest food and total luxury.

I strongly suggest that you pay a visit to this amazing place as soon as you can.

Our stay at the View was simply incredible, from the moment we were greeted by the beaming smiles of wonderful staff upon arrival to the exceptional standards of the villa to the incredible food. Everything about the villa exceeded all of our expectations and was no doubt a highlight of the trip to Samui.

Once we arrived we were given a delicious drink and a tour of the property, everyone was blown away by the attention to detail and the stunning architecture. We were then served up a delicious late night meal which was among the best meals we had on the trip.

We awoke the next day to breathtaking views of the 5 islands and Ang Thong and spent the day playing on the kayaks, and stand up paddle board, swimming in the pool and generally relaxing. The staff made a delicious pool side sunset BBQ on the 2nd evening - the perfect end of the stay which unfortunately couldn't be any longer!

Managed to secure a short last minute stay at The View for my 50th Birthday and was joined by my two adult children and two of their friends. It was probably a little too large for just 6 adults but the villa is superb and we had a very relaxed and special time there! The staff were exceptional and I have to say that Takkie has the happiest disposition and nothing is too much trouble... The Chef cooked us some excellent meals with the highlight being the BBQ with lobster tails. Way too much food but all really delicious. We also really appreciated that the staff were discreet and let us relax and enjoy the villa, but were available if needed. Have to rate the beds and the bedding as probably the most comfortable ever!!! Really amazing pillows (in fact would appreciate knowing where to get these?). Excellent weekend away and a very special place to spend my 50th birthday.

Absolument superbe et je pèse mes mots. La villa ne s'appelle pas The view pour rien! La vue est splendide et la maison, très récente (3ans) est incroyable. L'architecte a pensé les moindres détails et 20 min lui ont même été consacrées dans une émission Thai sur le design. 4 familles peuvent y loger sans problème. La villa est située à côté d l'Intercontinental, côte Ouest. Parfait pour être au calme et éviter la cohue et l'ambiance tourisme de masse et la cote Est. Je ne passe pas en revu toute la maison, les sites sur lesquels elle est en location montrent des photos réalistes. Le personnel est globalement sympa (mention spéciale a Opal) et discret. Petit bémol, les factures d'achats de nourritures qui sont présentées chaque jour, ne montrent pas beaucoup de détails... Mais pour les quelques Baths PEUT ÊTRE mis dans la poche, quel service! Rien a faire, le chef de cuisine fait ce que vous souhaitez ou vous propose. Le chauffeur est là pour vous emmener ou vous voulez, prenez les canoës et partez vers les îles en face ou on récolte des nids d'hirondelles.... Les enfants ont adorés le dortoir. Bref, que du bonheur!

We stayed at The View, where we had our daughters wedding, my son in law found it on the web site and just knew that was where he wanted to marry his bride. When we arrived you think you are dreaming, then you realise WOW. And the WOW continued for the whole stay. The wedding was arranged and all went fantastic, reception on the private beach, fireworks, lanterns, flowers, music. We had a Thai wedding meal which was spectacular, the next day the flowers were all in glass bowls on the dining table for us all to enjoy. The staff are wonderful, they catered for everyone, even bringing a travel cot down by the pool for our grandson.

Not only did we love the property but the staff was incredible! Anytime we needed something someone was there to assist us. It truly was a vacation we will never forget. The rooms are beautiful, the food was amazing, the pool was perfect, the music was great and the location was to die for! Watching the sunset every night from the pool or the beach was remarkable. We spent 9 nights at this property and would suggest to anyone planning a trip to Koh Samui to stay at this Villa as you will truly never regret your decision and like us you'll be trying to figure out how and when you could come back!!! Thank-you to Opal and all of the staff! You made for a great holiday experience.

We stayed at the View with friends for 8 nights late September through to early October. There were 9 adults and 10 children aged from 8 months to 11 years. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, our experience at the villa could not have been better. The purpose of the trip was to celebrate the 40th birthdays for 6 of the adults throughout the year. We are all school friends and had talked about celebrating the occasion for many years.

The villa itself is perfect. There are 5 bedrooms plus the dormitory that sleeps up to 8 children on 3 bunk and 2 pull out beds. There is a large kitchen area and lounge area inside the main house and another outdoor lounge area and bar next to the pool on the ground floor. The frozen margaritas were a great way to start each evening. (actually start each afternoon is probably more accurate.) There was thousands of songs to choose from on itunes which could all be played throughout the villas stereo system as well as hundreds of movies.

We also booked one of the villas behind the view and it was literally 30 metres away and directly connected to the main house.

We were able to arrange nannies to stay with us for the duration and they slept in the twin room which adjoined the children's room. The location of the dorm was far enough away that once the children went to bed, we would not disturb them in any way. They had the best time hanging out with each other and after full days of activities in the pool, on the beach and jumping off the pier they were ready to go straight to sleep.

The staff and service were amazing. Khun Opal and Khun Nokkie were our main contacts however all of the staff were lovely. They took care of all our needs and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was so good that we didn't leave the villa once for dinner and only went out one day for lunch the entire 8 days/nights we were there. Breakfast was great and for lunch we chose to have sandwiches and salads which was perfect. The chef was an expert in Thai, Italian and Japanese cuisine so we were able to change the menu each night to whatever we wanted. There is an extensive menu to choose from or if you had anything in mind it would be prepared perfectly. This might sound like an expensive way to do things but it was actually the opposite. The staff would purchase all of the required items and ingredients and we would only be charged the purchase price plus a nominal amount to cover the associated costs and preparation.

As far as the location, it really has one of the most outstanding views anywhere. For 8 nights we were treated to a different sunset each night as the cloud formations would always differ allowing different amounts of light through. We were very fortunate to have no rain the entire time we were there. On the last night we arranged to get some "Kom Loy" which are the floating paper lanterns and we released them from the beach. A great memory for both the adults and the children.

I cannot reccomend this place highly enough. I found the View online by searching for places that can sleep up to 20 people. There is no better set up for families with younger children than the View. We loved it so much, all of us have already agreed to return in 2014 and stay even longer.

I just came back from Koh Samui and stayed at The View villa and can't not sing its praises highly enough I had my wedding there and had all out guest staying in either the View or The Headland villas all all the staff could not me anymore accommodating from the beautiful rooms to the crystal clear pool everything was perfect.
I think what made the holiday as special as it was was the staff at The View Opal and her team went the extra mile for us and our guest from organising breakfast and dinners to sourcing motor bikes and taxis for us, my hat goes off to them.
This villa is on the west side of the island so if nights out in town are what you are after then it is not close but the staff helped people get transport to and from town at whatever time they wanted.
one of my most favourite parts of the villa was the cocktail bar downstairs by the pool where else do you get a full time bar staff to make you cocktails at half the price of what they charge in town, and if we wanted to have some more guest around Opal would set up the lighting and let us party into the night which is what made this place so special and i will never forget it.

We decided to book The View and the Headland Villas for our Wedding in June and what can I say. The place is amazing, the staff were fantastic and although the weather wasn't great, everyone had a blast and loved the villa and the staff.

The villa was perfect for our wedding, the property was always kept immaculate and perfect and the view is to die for, on a nice sunny day! Even with the rain, it was pretty perfect.

Breakfast every morning was delicious, along with the dinners when we ordered them. The villa managers and staff were always happy to accommodate our very need. The location and view is beautiful, however it is on the other side of the island, so if shopping and hanging out in town are what you are after then this isn't the place for you. There is no need to leave the villa when you stay, everything you need to available for you, massages, bikes, food, drinks everything we asked for they were able to accommodate.

Will definitely be going back to The View when we visit Koh Samui again!

I had an excellent week at the view. It was an absolute delight to wake up in bedroom four and walk across the lawn to the main house for breakfast each morning. I enjoyed the calm, clean water and particularly liked swimming the few hundred meters from the jetty to the view's beach each morning. The staff were all helpful and friendly and watching the sunset from the lawn, deck or pool while enjoying a drink was something I will never forget.

My Family and I recently were lucky enough to rent The View. It was the perfect venue for the 9 of us to stay. There were great spaces for everyone to sit and play together, as well as areas where you could get away and be by yourself and quietly read your book. The staff were very friendly and attentive without getting in our way and the food was the best Thai food i've ever had! One of our favourite activities at the Villa was to walk down onto the beach out to the jetty and swim back to the house through the ocean. Both my family and I had a fantastic holiday made by this amazing villa.
