One of the best things about renting a villa in Koh Samui, rather than staying in a hotel, is that they often have a private pool.
So you can kick back, relax and not worry about who is watching, whom you’ll be sharing the pool with or getting up at the crack of dawn to reseve your sunlounger with a towel ! Koh Samui certainly has its fair share of stunning infinity pools.

A small grassy island with a hammock, waiting for you to relax with a good book. The pool is designed for you to swim around it in an almost river like exploration and under a wooden bridge. The pool also has a children’s zone where the water is just 40cm deep. It’s great for tiny feet to have a paddle. The pool is a vast 300 metres square. The beautiful Baan Jakawaan is just a short drive from Chaweng, set in an elevated position with fantastic views over the ocean.
The 20-metre infinity pool almost appears to merge with the ocean. It wraps around the property and extends into a round pool with a swim up bar. You can spend a peaceful afternoon here sipping Mai Tai’s or your favourite tipple. There is also a large dining sala here at the end of the pool. The pool does not disappoint. Adjacent to the pool is an open sided sala that has been designed to sink into the ground. It’s at pool level with sunken poolside seats on the opposite side. So you can dine and drink poolside or in the sala and still be together. It’s a fantastic area for outside dining.
Around the poolside there is a choice of luxurious double beds, a large hammock or loungers that are sunk into the pool to keep you cool and relaxed. This is high end luxury living at its finest. The pool is a tiptoe away from peaceful Laem Sor beach.
