The villa is a perfect size for 10 persons

The hosts welcomed us at the villa when we arrived, they were both extremely friendly and provided us with all the information needed about the villa and Koh Samui. They were also very easy to reach during the stay and answered all questions very rapidly. The images of the villa are a perfect representation of reality, the infinity pool gives an splendid view of the land and the sea with no other villa in sight. We encountered a few wifi problems during our stay but the hosts quickly managed to overcome the problem. The villa is located very close the Fisherman's market, but taxis are required to travel to Chaweng, the big supermarket etc due to how high up the villa is (taxis are fairly cheap). The staff during the stay were very friendly and adapted to our needs quickly, they were also very trust worthy and spoke good english. Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes at the villa, only geckos a few flies. The villa has a perfect size for a group of 10 people. Overall our experience was great! Highly recommended villa.

First Class stay at Baan Kuno

Our two hosts, Jeremy and Julian were brilliant, nothing was too much hassle for them. All you had to do was pick up the phone to them and they would get taxi/ restaurants sorted for you. The two live in staff were also excellent. The provided my group with breakfast and lunch every day and also kept the villa tidy, which was a task due to us having 3 children in our party. The villa itself was amazing, finished to a very high quality. All the rooms were first class and the added bonus of having good quiet Air conditioning help loads. The live in area and pool had stunning views over the Northern part of Samui. Yes the villa is remote but we knew this before we went so was no big surprise. If you are a latte group the villa manager will arrange all your taxi's for you and when you break down the price of the taxi between all guest it works out very cheap per person. Overall a first class stay with no issues. Would recommend to anyone, especially large families or groups of friends.

Baan Kuno - Fantastic Destination

Baan kuno was a fantastic destination for our families meeting from other sides of the world. The place is exceptionally clean, the views are fantastic and the setting amazing. The live in staff (Jai and Doi) are some of the most friendliest people ive ever met. They attend to your needs if you want them and keep the place so clean My rented scooter broke one day and Doi took it upon himself to solve and fix the problem, without him i would have been in a lot of trouble given the location. The villa is high up and out of the way a bit but its only 5 mins to the main road in transport. They even have a fantastic entertainment system that lets you watch channels from all over the world which was great for us sports lovers over the weekend we were there. Overall a great 7 days spent there. Management was also very accommodating to anything we needed. Jeremy was great with correspondence before our trip asking if we had any special needs and arranged transfers for us with no issues. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially for groups of 8-10 people.

We booked this place at the last minute for Dec 25-30. We didn't want to stay on the beach but wanted to be near to all the amenities and beaches. This villa was everything if not more of what we wished it to be. The villa has it all--breathtaking views, clean modern decor, proximity to Fishermans Wharf and amazing staff. Gwen, Thuy and Jay were the most gracious of hosts. Thuy and Jay cooked us up feasts daily--we didn't even feel the need to go to restaurants. They were conscientious of our privacy but were attentive to all our needs. Gwen was great at coordinating drivers and trips at the last minute. I have recommended this place over and over again to my friends and colleagues back home.

My friends and I stayed at Baan Kuno for our grad trip this year and choosing this villa was the best decision that we made! Upon arrival we were picked up from the airport and greeted by the two generous housekeepers with traditional Thai tea and a house tour from Jeremy! It was a great start, and especially because the villa exceeded our already-high expectations - we were so shocked and excited for our 9-day stay.

There really is no need for air-conditioning in the villa (apart from the rooms) as there are more windows and open areas surrounding the house than walls. Not only is the design minimalistic and chic, there are even Asian-themed decorations around the entire house which adds diversity to the house- which we loved a lot! There is a SMART TV in the living room which allows you to connect to internet sites even Youtube, which we really enjoyed using.

One of the best parts of our stay was having breakfast made for us every morning by our lovely housekeepers- they are really good cooks! (This service was inclusive as long as we bought our own groceries). The infinity pool was definitely the BEST part of the house as it was big enough for the 12 of us, where we got both a mountainous and oceanic view which overlooks the neighbouring towns. (For those who love to sunbathe, the openness and location of the villa made it the ultimate tanning spot). The maintenance and cleanliness of the villa was also exceptional. Each room comes with an ensuite bathroom which made our stay very convenient and efficient for a large group. Although we did not make use of the garden terrace, it was equipped with a BBQ grill and is the perfect area for a gathering! On most nights, my friends and I went out to party, and it was very helpful having 3 house keys between the 12 of us as well as being able to lock up the individual rooms. Although located in a quieter and more isolated area, the security was top-notch.

We are all mostly 18 so we were not able to rent a car- which was the only downside of our stay. This meant that we had to call a van/ cab (the same driver) every time we wanted to go to town. It cost 800THB for every one-way trip to Chaweng, which seems like a lot at first, but we split it between the group and we knew that it was the safest option as the taxicab company is linked to the villa company so it was a trustworthy option.

This stay exceeded all my expectations and if you are looking for a relaxing getaway from the busy city life- this was the best decision my friends and I made! I definitely hope to visit Baan Kuno again!!

“Seeblick zum Frühstück”

Da waren wir nun angekommen - auf Koh Samui in den Tropen. 14 Tage pure Erholung auf einer Insel mit beständigen Temperaturen, traumhaften Stränden und guter Küche. Was will man wohl mehr...? Eine schöne Unterkunft!
Und die haben wir in der Tat mit Baan Kuno gefunden. Eine traumhafte Villa in den Bergen von Bophut.

Man merkt auf den ersten Blick, dass der deutsche Besitzer sich bis ins kleinste Detail Gedanken bei der Er- und Einrichtung gemacht haben muss. Man kommt vom Carport in den großen begrünten Garten und von dort aus über eine Treppe in den Eingangsbereich. Das ganze Haus ist so ausgerichtet, dass alle Räume einen perfekten Blick haben und auch bei den tropischen Temperaturen den erfrischenden Wind einbezieht. Alle Einrichtungsgegenstände sind in einem sehr guten Zustand und hochwertig ausgewählt. Es fehlt an nichts!! Das hauseigene Personal sorgt sich im Hintergrund liebevoll um das Haus. Es ist schon toll, wenn morgens der Tisch gedeckt ist, die Poolliegen vorbereitet sind und das frische Obst mundgerecht im Kühlschrank steht. Das Personal kocht auch gerne mal etwas landestypisches für einen. Sehr lecker!

Die klimatisierten Zimmer sind alle mit einem großzügigem eigenem Bad ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, groß und mit einem tollen Blick aufs Meer - vom Kopfkissen aus :-) !!!

In den großen Schlafzimmern gibt es, genauso wie im Wohnzimmer natürlich, eine Apple-Anbindung an den Fernseher, so das dort mitgebrachte Filme und Musik, ebenso wie aktuelle Bilder, gestreamt werden können. Das ganze basiert auf einem leistungsstarken W-LAN-Netzwerk, das im ganzen Haus und natürlich auch am Pool verfügbar ist.

Der Pool liegt den ganzen Tag schön sonnig und bietet einen großartigen Blick über die Insel, bis hin zum Meer. Auch hier hat der Eigentümer wieder mitgedacht und verzichtet bei der Poolpflege komplett auf Chlor und hautschädliche Chemie.

Da das Haus in den Bergen liegt und nicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zu erreichen ist, es sei denn man ruft sich immer ein Taxi, oder bittet das Personal um Hilfe, empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen. Natürlich nur wenn man mal an den Strand oder die Insel erkunden will.

Wir kommen sicher wieder wenn wir auf der Insel sind. Absolut empfehlenswert !!
