Villa Daniella

Villa Daniella is one of the newest houses on the Horizon estate and the most playful in character — bold, contemporary interiors with pop-art touches, set over 286 square metres with a private pool and a sea view north across Choeng Mon bay.

The bedroom layout is unusually even, and it is the villa's quiet advantage. Four king rooms, each with its own en-suite, plus a guest toilet. Nobody draws the short straw and nobody is negotiating over who takes the twin, which makes it a natural fit for two or three couples travelling together, or a family whose children are old enough to want a proper double room of their own.

Daniella shares a basketball shooting court with its neighbour Villa Gaya, and for families with teenagers that is a more useful amenity than it sounds — something to do that is not the pool, and not a car journey away. The private pool sits on a terrace alongside, with loungers and space to spread out.

Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped for a group of eight, with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, full-size appliances and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Parking is on site for a car and a motorbike. The villa's Thai chef can prepare breakfast at 500 THB per person per day, or cook for the full day at 2,500 THB with guests covering ingredients.

The estate around it is gated and government-licensed, with 24-hour security, its own management and maintenance team on site seven days a week, a clubhouse with a 24-hour gym and a tennis court by the entrance — all included in the rate. A complimentary shuttle runs twice daily down to Choeng Mon beach, which is shallow, calm and one of the better beaches on Samui for children, with restaurants and a morning market set back behind it.

Because Gaya sits on the same plot and shares the court, the two villas can be booked together for a larger party — nine bedrooms and eighteen guests between them, with each villa keeping its own pool and kitchen. Groups of that size are genuinely hard to place on Samui without splitting them across a resort, so it is worth knowing the pairing exists.
