Villa Maphraaw

Villa Maphraaw sits in an exclusive hillside village in the north west of Koh Samui, offering five ensuite bedrooms and unforgettable sea views towards the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. The Santi Thani development is known locally as the Beverly Hills of Samui and is home to some of the island's finest villas. The palm fringed beach at Ban Tai is a couple of minutes away by car, and the Santiburi international golf course around ten minutes.

The villa offers complete privacy while still being minutes from a good selection of restaurants, supermarkets and amenities.

Accommodation is arranged over three levels. A vaulted ceiling entrance on the upper floor leads into an open plan living area with a balcony overlooking the pool. To one side sits a separate media room with a large smart TV and surround sound, and to the other a fully equipped kitchen with black granite countertops leading through to a dining area looking out over the pool and the ocean beyond.

Steps lead down to the pool level, where three bedrooms are found including the master. All are generously sized with ensuite bathrooms, and the two principal rooms have French doors opening directly onto the pool deck. The third sits to the rear of this level with a queen bed. A second set of stairs leads down to two further ensuite bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin singles, both with sliding doors onto the terrace.

The U shaped house is built partly around a 9 by 4 metre kidney shaped infinity edged pool of 32 square metres, 1.7 metres at its deepest point. Please note that supervision of children around the pool is necessary due to the infinity edge design. A submerged tiled seat within the pool incorporates a Jacuzzi, a lovely place to sit and take in the sea views. The pool deck has a dining area and sun beds, with an outdoor Bose sound system running around the pool and Jacuzzi.

Below the pool, a further large terrace lets you walk around the water feature that flows gently from the pool above, another peaceful place to sunbathe with access to the fully landscaped garden.

Villa Maphraaw is a romantic and relaxing retreat, ideal for up to five couples or two families with plenty of space for everyone, and just as well suited to a secluded getaway or an unforgettable honeymoon.

A multilingual guest manager speaking English, French and Chinese looks after guests throughout, and complimentary airport transfers are included one way each. Twice weekly maid service keeps the villa immaculate, with bed linen changed twice weekly and pool towels as needed. Fibre optic wifi runs throughout, and two baby cots and highchairs are provided at no charge.

The guest manager can also arrange a private chef, in villa massage, babysitting, boat charters and island tours, and offers discounted rates on tours, activities and services during your stay. A hire car can be arranged with full insurance and delivered to the villa, and taxis are readily available.
