Ideally located on the north-eastern tip of Koh Samui, Villa Peace is a magnificent newly refurbished oceanfront luxury villa. Able to host 10 adults and 4 kids or 8 adults and 6 kids it has five double bedrooms and a bunk room that can sleep four children. Just 10 minutes from the picturesque Samui airport this oceanfront villa is built on four levels with each offering uncompromising views of the sea, local bays and the hills of neighbouring Koh Pha Ngan beyond.
Contained within the exclusive Sunset Cove Estate opposite the renowned Six Senses Samui Resort, the short drive to Villa Peace gives but a flavour of what awaits. As the wide wooden entrance way doors open for you and you step across the Koi-carp filled pond the ocean view comes sharply into focus. Either side of the pathway are two of the double en-suite rooms with King-sized beds, TVs and floor-to-ceiling windows. The whole villa is orientated towards maximum daylight and stunning vistas. In either of these bedrooms you may pause for a moment and wonder where the bathroom is as the back wall appears to be a fully-fitted wardrobe from one wall to the other. Worry not, for there is a ‘secret’ entrance to the huge bathroom beyond with WC, sink, shower, bathtub and wonderfully soft bath towels. Outside is an open-air patio with comfortable seating.
Stepping down a level you’ll find another two pavilions. One has a King-sized bed with TV and is en-suite with another double bedroom adjoining to the rear through a doorway. This room could house adults or older children in what is very much a perfect family pavilion. On the opposite side of the pathway is another King-sized, en-suite bedroom with TV and an outdoor patio. And adjoining this one to the rear through a doorway is a bunk room that can sleep four children with a large screen TV and plenty of storage space. All of the bedding is premium down feather bed toppers, pillows, and duvets. In addition, all of the bathrooms have ‘Common Ground’ brand facial wash, soap, shampoo and conditioner. And all the rooms have mini-fridges, safety deposit boxes and are air-conditioned.
Down a few steps to the third level and this is where you will spend most of your time. The entire room, covering the breadth of the property is open-plan with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows for panoramic views and excellent light. To the left is an air-conditioned gym with a running machine, a Pilates reformer machine, weight bench, mats and free weights. One wall is completely mirrored and a second wall is wholly glass allowing natural daylight. There’s also a wall-mounted TV and it has doors that can close it off from the rest of the family area. Next to the gym is a WC and shower, a pool table and a ‘home office’ with a desk, a laser printer, monitor and a webcam for video conferencing with family and friends back home or even work colleagues – if you really have to. And there is Wifi throughout the entire villa.
Next to that there are cozy sofas and a Samsung 85 inch NEO QLED 8K TV for family movie nights or your favourite sporting events. And there’s a brand-new telescope that’s been installed for watching the night sky and the countless stars that are clearly visible as there is very little light pollution. In-between the lounge area and the kitchen there’s a large indoor dining table that seats 12 and a breakfast bar with stools which kids love. The open-plan kitchen is well-spaced with two separate sinks, two work-top islands, two large fridge-freezers one of which has an inbuilt chilled wine cellar plus there’s an additional fridge for beers and soft drinks. There is an abundance of kitchen storage space for Le Creuset pots and pans, tablecloths, utensils, glassware and tableware. You’ll also find a coffee machine, microwave, a grill, an air-fryer, water heater (kettle), toaster, food mixer/juicer plus a dishwasher, a five-ring gas cooker with an electric oven and overhead extractor. The family room is fully air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans throughout. There’s an extensive wine and cigar menu and upon request the villa can provide Sheeshas (for outdoor use only). On the terrace there is a Weber BBQ Grill (propane) with full accessories and with the glorious weather on Samui, every night could be barbecue night.
The terrace is extensive with incredible views taking in Plai Laem bay, the Big Buddha temple, Bangrak bay, Fisherman’s Village waterfront and the towering hills of Koh Pha Ngan. As the sun moves across the villa from right to left, part of the terrace can be shaded with inbuilt screens and there’s an outdoor table and chairs for alfresco dining plus soft seating with outdoor ceiling fans and soft lighting for the evenings. And then of course there is the fabulous pool some 14 metres in length with built in stools at one end for infinity views of the ocean with perhaps a late afternoon cocktail or two. At the other end, the pool has been designed for little ones who can paddle and play around in safety and the surrounding terrace area also has sun-loungers and umbrellas and an outdoor shower. The terrace flooring is made from naturally non-slippery travertine and the pool has a salt water system (less chlorine) which is definitely better for the skin and hair. The villa can host small weddings and events with a transparent stage placed in the pool for a happy couple’s ceremony or even just a romantic dinner for two.
Below the pool is the fourth level which is a grassy lawn with a paved walkway over ancient rocks to the sea. The villa has two kayaks (both seat two people) that you can freely use and just to the right you can see the tiny island of Koh Som which is about a ten minute kayak paddle away. Technically, Koh Som is two very small private islands of which Koh Som is the larger island on the far right and Koh Lum Mu Noi is slightly to the left. Koh Lum Mu Noi is mostly rocks while Koh Som has everything you'd want in a tropical island starting with sandy shores and coconuts in the shallows. It’s uninhabited but longtail boats do take visitors there from the nearby Plai Laem pier.

It’s a wonderful villa for children and families, it’s close to local amenities and cultural attractions like Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha temple complex and it’s about 15 minutes to the night-life of Chaweng and the excellent night market at Bophut Fisherman’s Village with the beaches, bars and restaurants of Plai Laem, Bangrak and Cheong Mon even closer

Event Fees are to be paid on the same terms as the villa 30% deposit and a balance due 60 days prior to arrival. If the wedding numbers change we can adjust the balance invoice accordingly.
STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY
Intermediate, High and Prime (i.e. not during Christmas, New Year peak seasons):
Payment must be fully settled: 60 days prior to arrival, or if that date is already passed, then within 1 day of guest confirmation of intention to book.
We have a no-refund policy in the event of cancellation but if you cancel more than 60 days prior to arrival we will issue a credit note for the same villa valid for 9 months. If you cancel within 60 days of arrival all funds paid will be forfeited and a partial or full refund will only be made if we some or all of the dates are rebooked.
Guests can of course claim off their travel insurance which according to our terms and conditions they should all obtain and we will provide any supporting evidence required.
Christmas and New Year: For any cancellation after the deposit and/or balance payment, all payments are forfeited and a full or partial refund is solely applicable in the event that villa management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial and cancelled reservation. The above cancellation charges also apply if the villa management cancels the booking due to non-payment of the balance. If the dates of the booking require to be changed or amended, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply. Any change to the original reservation is subject to the approval of the Villa management
The Plai Laem area is located between Big Buddha and Choeng Mon and encompasses most of northeast peninsular of Koh Samui. The soft golden sands on this more or less west facing palm-fringed beach stretch for 2 km, however in certain months the sea is quite shallow and swimming is restricted as at the most it is only 2 metres deep.
