There is a bountiful choice of spa and wellness resorts on the island with an all encompassing choice of treatments. In this article, we’ll highlight a few of our favourite retreats. The perfect way to while away a day or three of your blissful holiday.
We’ve selected the locations below based on the different type of benefits they offer. So there is a spa to suit different price ranges and a range of different needs. All are chosen to be within a close proximity to one of our villas.

An old favourite, Tamarind Springs is renowned for being Koh Samui’s first dedicated day spa. At Tamarind Springs they believe that the living world of shaded trees, rocks and flowing spring water all contribute to calming the senses. All masseuses are qualified and an extensive range of treatments are on offer. We love the herbal steam caves and rock plunge pools. Highly recommended by our guests.

The Belmond Napasai is a luxurious beachfront resort located in a peaceful setting in Maenam. The treatments offered here are rooted in Thai tradition and Oriental philosophy. A beautiful setting in which to relax and be pampered. Children are welcome at this spa and they even do an Angel Bliss massage for children aged between 4 and 14.

Enjoy the healing powers of a gentle five flowers body scrub before a deep tissue massage. Their signature treatment which is inspired by ancient royalty.

High end luxury - for families, individuals and couples
Six Senses Samui is located at the northern tip of Samui just 6 kilometres from the airport. The treatments take place in treatment villas and and salas that have stunning views out over the rock-fringed bay to the ocean. The spa has well trained and highly skilled practictioners. As well as finding a full range of massages, facials, manicures and pedicures on the menu, you'll also find holistic rituals, Reiki and yoga. The Six Senses spa focusses on 'destress' treatments and aim for their guests to leave feeling energised and full of vitality.

This is a calming and soothing therapy over the full body in order to achieve an overall sense of well-being. It is a combination of Chakra Balancing Energy and Harmonic Healing Chime techniques. This therapy will allow your energy to flow smoothly by removing old blockages and stagnant energy. The treatment is energizing, revitalizing, balancing and deeply relaxing.

Fantastic treatment villa views and rejuvenating holistic treatments
Amata Spa is an integral part of Coral Bay Resort (in North Chaweng on the road leading from Chaweng to the airport). There is an extensive menu of individual treatments including Body Scrubs & Wraps, Facials, Massage, Reflexology and Sun Soothing Treatments. The spa uses natural products to ensure that you benefit fully from each treatment.
The spa manager is a registered nurse who will assist you to choose a therapy to suit your needs or you can choose to have a package custom-designed for you.The therapists here have completed well over 300 hours training of massage, anatomy, aromatherapy, diet and nutrition. Whilst you are there, check out the Hydrotherapy and Chill-Out Zone. It has a herbal steam room, a shower room with high-power jets of water, a cold-water plunge pool and a splashing waterfall.

Samui’s first infrared sauna. They report that it enhances your immune system, improves cardiovascular condition, relieves stress. If that's not enough it is said to improve the condition of your skin, hair, teeth and eyes. The zone also has a herbal steam room and a cold water plunge pool complete with splashing waterfall.

Combining a day pampering with blissful beach relaxation
The Eranda Spa is located just of the road leading from Samui Airport to Chaweng Beach, directly opposite Nora Beach Resort. The Spa is set in natural tropical gardens and is really peaceful, with a beautiful steam room carved from rock and a cooling plunge pool. The scented cave steam is extremely relaxing and the perfect place to simply zone out from the world.

Indulge in a blissful two hours and thirty five minutes of relaxation and pampering. Start by enjoying the herbal steam and plunge pool, followed by an Eranda signature back massage and foot massage.

Chilling out in the herbal steam cave
This is a popular spa located on the edge of busy Fisherman’s Village. It has a lovely setting and a wide range of services including facials, many different types of massages, body scrubs and wraps. They also have a steam, jacuzzi and mineral and milk baths.

Spring in the Tropics Spa Package
This starts with a relaxing steam and jacuzzi followed by a tropical fruit scrub to renew your skin. This is followed by the Peace signature massage which is a combination of a traditional Thai and oil massage. Finished with a luxurious facial to suit your skin type. You can’t fail to feel relaxed and refreshed after this.

Combining an afternoon or morning spa with shopping and dining at Fisherman’s Village.
The Absolute Sanctuary is situated just 5 minutes from Koh Samui Airport in the hillside, it’s positioned between the beach resorts of Chaweng and Choeng Mon. One of the things we really like about this spa is that you can do Pilates reformer classes here. You can book either group classes or private tuition. And if after your class you would like to relax, you can visit the spa. Absolute Sanctuary are happy to organise spa parties for groups of 5 or more.

Absolute Foot Sanctuary
Enjoy the ‘Absolute Foot Sanctuary’ in the tranquil surroundings of the open air sala in the spa. It’s a 60 or 90 minute indulgent foot massage using reflexology to stimulate healing.

Alternatively, if you would rather stay put in the comfortable surrounding of your villa, in house staff can arrange treatments on your behalf at several of our properties in Koh Samui. In many cases they can arrange for a therapist to visit the villa, so you can have an indulgent massage in the sala without stepping too far from the luxury of your hammock!
