Element of 8 is a sea view pool villa with six ensuite king bedrooms in a spectacular hillside location on Koh Samui's unspoilt south-west coast. Breathtaking views of emerald seas and mesmerising golden sunsets define this luxurious, fully staffed villa, which appeals to large family groups as well as wedding and event planners seeking the extraordinary. Contemporary design is complemented by Southeast Asian art and antiques, with the look of an elegant beach house, wide terraces and white louvered doors opening to sea views and cool breezes.
On the entry level, a spacious living and dining area sits alongside one of the two master bedrooms in a long, single-storey pavilion with a pitched roof and a wide, shaded wraparound terrace. Though clifftop, the styling is that of an elegant beach house, with bleached white wood vaulted ceilings, overhead fans and full-length glass doors and louvered panels that invite in the sea breeze and views. The sophisticated living room features large sofas and armchairs in taupe and off-white, cream terrazzo floors, a show kitchen with a dark wood island counter, a formal dining table for 12, and a 72-inch satellite TV with surround sound. A separate restaurant-standard professional kitchen serves the villa chef, and a fascinating collection of Southeast Asian antiques and art is displayed throughout.
The six ensuite king bedrooms are arranged across the villa. Master Bedroom 1 occupies the top floor adjacent to the living areas, with a high vaulted ceiling, wraparound views, a study and dressing room, and a bathroom with double vanity, rain shower and standalone bathtub. Master Bedroom 2, one level below, opens onto its own corner terrace with a generous dressing area and a bathroom with freestanding bathtub. Guest Bedrooms 1 and 2 lead off the lower terrace with king beds and ensuite rain showers, while Guest Bedroom 3 occupies its own private sea-facing area at the far end. A separate Studio Apartment sits in its own pavilion below the car park, with full-length windows opening to sea views, a king bed and an ensuite with bathtub.
Indoor and outdoor living merge effortlessly, with full-length glass doors sliding away to wide covered terraces furnished with rattan daybeds and sofas. A 14-metre saltwater lap pool sits on the entry level, surrounded by a grassed sun terrace with sunbeds and umbrellas and a thatched Balinese-style sala for casual lunches or massages. For special evenings, a private barbecue area with cushioned seating offers a memorable dining experience beneath a star-filled sky. A well-equipped private gym on the lowest level completes the villa.
Cape Laem Sor sits at the south-west tip of Koh Samui, overlooking the palm-fringed bay of Laem Sor and its outlying islands of Koh Tan and Koh Mad Sum. Still relatively undeveloped, the area is home to a handful of 5-star resorts and rustic beachside bistros, and is renowned for fabulous sunsets. Guests can enjoy boat trips and snorkelling among the surrounding islands, scuba diving just offshore, a jungle cooking class at the Tamarind Tree school, a round at the championship Santiburi golf course, or a visit to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary and the nearby Magic Alambic rum distillery. Cancellation of a Booking
In the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
- 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period.
- 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period.
- 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period.
- For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited.
Amendments to a Booking
The villa management will do its best to accommodate any reasonable amendments, but the Guest should be aware that some changes may not be possible. Charges may also apply. Note: A shortening of stay for any reason is considered a cancellation.
Laem Sor is in the deep south with Laem Set to the east and to the west the area finishes at a headland, beyond which is Thong Krut a popular fishing village offering a small choice of restaurants and boat tour operators. This is a peaceful area chosen by visitors who just wish to enjoy chilling out with family or friends and experience the "real" Samui.
