With an office in Thailand, we're often found travelling across the country to discover new luxury villas to add to our collection. We've a strict set of standards that villas need to meet to be featured on our website. We say no as often as we say yes. Here are some of the gems that have recently made it on the list.

Villa: Villa Skyfall
Destination: Koh Samui

This stylish and contemporary villa is a hilltop hideaway in Choeng Mon, offering unfettered views of the Big Buddha and Bohput bay. The villa sleeps 16 and offers lots of features for your shared entertainment and fun, such as the 12 seater cinema, two dedicated bars, tennis courts, infinity pool and pool table. Just don't argue over who is choosing their playlist from the ipad. The space has been well designed, with many private terraces too, so it's easy to find solitude when you need it.

Not sure whether to choose a villa or a hotel? This is the perfect compromise. Baan Hansa is based within the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel in Taling Ngam. Stay in this 5 bedroom luxury villa and you'll find a golf buggy to take you directly to your door. You'll also have access to all the resort facilities. The hotel has an excellent spa and a good choice of gourmet restaurants, but if you prefer choose an in-villa massage and have the chef prepare you a gourmet feast. The resort has 7 swimming pools and an array of beach activities like sailing and sea kayaking. If all that sounds like too much, simply relax with a sundowner and soak up the panoramic views over the Five islands.
